Here I Am Now. Entertain Me. [Feb. 21st, 2005|08:38 pm]
Sauce1977

Most every artist I admire is dead.

My job is a piece of shit, considering I graduated from college with a 3.5.

I am broke, and I'm still paying off my college loans.

Fuck you, America.

It seems financially irresponsible to attempt another level of education.

I think the saddest thing is that i didnt even know one of my favorite writers was dead. I was searching to see how old Hubert Selby was and it turns out that he died almost a year ago. Yeah almost every artist i admire is dead too. Life sucks.

It wasn't advertised quite like this.

Then again, the immigrants at the turn of the 20th Century believed that the streets were paved with gold.

People will believe anything.

I'm not sure if government-provided health care is worth the freezing winters.

I'm kind of blowing my future with my smoking habit.

I kind of need the fame and fortune in the short-term.

Sometimes we have to blow off steam.

It's okay to say "Fuck you" to something you love.

So do somethin' different as your job. Life is too short to work shitty jobs. What are you doing now, and what do you wanna be doing?

What I want to be doing takes way too much money and chance to be feasible.

I don't want to do anything else.

Maybe a major change or scenery would be good. Go to a very cheap Eastern European or Asian country.

I went to a very expensive foreign land called Los Angeles, and I realized how wonderful it was there, even in misery.

I'm not sure how to interpret that, but most folks who are left alive in the wake of someone's self-murder tend to feel anger and resentment over what turns out to be a selfish choice.

Suicide is never a light topic.

I'm not sure if I could earn better living or safety there. I'm not exactly of Spanish descent in any way. They don't take kindly to us crackers.

It would be nice to visit the Brandenburg Gate, but Michigan has enough Germany in Daimler-Chrysler. I never really had an interest in a life in Germany outside of Kraftwerk.

The United States - that country south of Canada that trades with those Mexicans.

Ya know, it sued to be whens tuff went shitty in America we could say "Well... at least this isnt Canada" But nowadays... Canada actually is better than us. Think about that. Canada is better than the United States. We are supposed to be the best fucking country in the world... Obviously not. A huge majroity of first world countries oppose us, and the third world countries all fear us. The economy is the worst its been since the 1930s. The president is gungho into takign us into two more wars, neither of which do we have the manpower or the money to manage. That means higher taxes, more restrictions on our freedom, and the draft. That all equates to more power in DC and less rights and lower morale in the states. Clinton may have been a jack-off but at least he didnt drive the nation into the ground. He jsut put it on cruise control (let focus groups determine policy) and got a BJ. Jsut like Tommy Lee in that famous sex tape.

Re: The United States - that country south of Canada that trades with those Mexicans.

We are the best country in the world, however . . . that was never in question.

Our economy is not the worst it has been since the 1930s. It isn't even close to the Great Depression. In the 1970s, gas shot up to an insane amount for its time. Have you ever had to wait at the pumps to fill your gas, except for 9/11?

Part of the current trouble in the United States exists as a result of Clinton's direction. You can't put a country on 'cruise control.'

There are plenty of people who are doing well in this country. I, however, am one who 'struggles,' and the struggle isn't quite as bad as I imagine it to be.

One thing that is particularly poor about the country is the ability for peoples' lives to be rudely shifted. Everything is in constant change. I realized that I've been running on empty since November. It's really hard to keep running without much of a break.
