Game 3, 2005 NBA Finals: Pistons Strike Back. [Jun. 15th, 2005|06:00 am]
Sauce1977

Game 3, June 14th, 2004, the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Final Score: Detroit 96, San Antonio 79.

Spurs lead series, 2-1.

The Pistons forced Tim Duncan into his poorest performance in the big games. The Pistons also scored over 90 points, making them the first team in 13 games to do just that on this level.

Stats are cheap. The Pistons did, however, play with intensity, and they moved the ball and themselves around much more than they had previously accomplished in the series.

That's right, Stephen A. Smith.

*big sigh of relief*

The Pistons made their shots. They received the calls.

Very well executed game for the Stones. I want them to tie it up so this series can go the distance.

We're guaranteed at least two more games.

It's all gravy.

Hahah.

As I reviewed my pictures, I wondered before the upload if it was a locked post. I had to check . . . otherwise, I would have sent you the pic and asked if it was kosher, out of courtesy.

And also, do you hate Stephen A Smith? I like the guy, but a lot of people who watch him and listen to his morning show on ESPN Radio reallllllllllly hate him. I don't get it.

My fire tends to start at first sight of Bill Walton.

My dislike of Walton stems from any and all comments he shows tendency against the Pistons, dating from at least the start of the 2004 NBA Finals.

Much to my dismay, Walton was selected as part of the crew for the 2005 Finals.

Stephen A. Smith writes for Philly. I can't really manage complete dislike for his work, considering that Philly and Detroit are very similar, fan-wise.

It doesn't hurt that he huffed and puffed his sentiment about Detroit's shitty performance post-Game 2. I felt the same.

Stephen A. Smith plays the game much like the rest of the current NBA media. One minute, they're in your corner. The next minute, something happens, and they have to flop to opposition.

Such a style is perfect for sports broadcasting. It's terribly-shitty for a candidate of the Presidency of the United States.
