Rosa Parks passed away today.

"The only tired I was, was tired of giving in."

"I have learned over the years that when one's mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear."

"Memories of our lives, of our works and our deeds will continue in others."

Rosa Parks
1913-2005
92 years of age.

Her action provided momentum for Civil Rights.

John Conyers speaks to WXYZ Channel 7, talking of plans on the horizon for a holiday in her honor.

A lot of people drew power from her refusal to give her seat.

it was kind of funny on nightline when they were like "rosa parks died, more on that later. now we're going to talk about the hurricane." rolling over in her grave as they moved her to the back of the broadcast.

Yeah, some people don't get it.

Like, Apple/Mac uses her in the "Think Different" campaign.

She didn't think any different from every black person in her day. She did what everyone wanted to do. That's a big difference.

It seems more like a Nike ad than a Mac ad.
