Have you ever had a Flowers for Algernon feeling after being in direct contact with bleach and other chemicals for prolonged minutes, not including psychotropics?
I'm talking household products, everyday legals, like permanent markers.
Every day seems like a challenge to keep from poisoning one's self.
I believe that I lost a handful of IQ points last night.
There might be something to do with not just the noxiousness of the bleach . . . plus the fact that I had used toilet bowl cleaner in the bowl, prior to the moment.
I feel cheated, too, considering that I had made and consumed a fantastic cabbage and beef stew with basmati rice, tomatoes, and carrots. That pretty much took me from feeling like a ripped genius to an ultra retard in the span of two hours.
Oooh, Pollack reference!
Maybe there's hope for my genetic structure.
Jackson Pollack/Pollock seems to be just as common for the last name given.
Dude, if you start throwing down blots of ink and paint onto a canvas, it's so been done before, really.
Prediction for Lions this year?
I'll go out on a limb and say
Sep 10 Seattle - L
Sep 17 @Chicao - L
Sep 24 Green Bay - W
Oct 1 @St. Louis - L
Oct 8 @Minnesota - W
Oct 15 Buffalo - W
Oct 22 @N.Y. Jets - W
Week 8 Bye
Nov 5 Atlanta - L
Nov 12 San Francisco - W
Nov 19 @Arizona - L
Nov 23 Miami - L
Dec 3 @New England - L
Dec 10 Minnesota - W
Dec 17 @Green Bay - W
Dec 24 Chicago - L
Dec 31 @Dallas - L
That turns out to 6-10, and I'm not even sure about the games I picked to win. I'd say their chances of winning more than 6 games this year are slim to fat to none. Sure, it's a tough draw, but no use crying over spilled milk.
I saw a headline in the local paper . . . something about the Lions drawing inspiration from a rock that Marinelli used as motivation in TB.
I thought for one second that Marinelli went out to get . . . "The Rock
Option "Rock" would have been much better.
Oh come on, if they can beat the Jets in Giants Stadium, they can beat Arizona.
Depends on whether or not the Lions are still in the hunt by that time.
Once they lose their 8th game, historically, they go on an even worse flounder's path, it seems, than most other teams.
Doing what I did, then falling asleep at dawn, well, leads one to dream about a loving relationship with Kirsten Dunst.
Not fucking kidding.
It felt like heaven in the dream, but I woke up as if it were a nightmare.
While sopping up the biohazard in the bathroom, I cursed the heavens, repeatedly, and vehemently, in what would surely become a quick-link file at any day of reckoning in the eternal.
I told myself that it could be worse . . . getting my fingers ripped off, one by one, falling out of a plane without a parachute, naked in a zoo, a list of other unsavories.
If I was back at one of my old jobs, that would be pretty insane for dreams.
Kirsten Dunst is a close second, if only because it was a loving relationship.
You win, good sir!

I might have a few suggestions besides bleach and other household chemicals haha
I hate that feeling . . . I feel powerless, like a kid, but worse, since I know that I can think with some logic, but all the organization, counting, everything that's rational just goes out the window.
It's like getting crippled, knowing that you know how to walk, but you can't, only in that case, I'm doing better than that.
love the last graphic (kirk)
Thousand points of light . . . stay on target, pull up! We're too close!
I love the overacting of The Shatner!!

Re: BONUS ROUND
Oh dear god... You know, I think I might get into trouble for how loud I was laughing. Because you know, I should be working.
I totally fucking stole that Kirk .gif
It's an internet passaround . . . not my creation, either, but it's priceless. I think I may have found it here
, but I'm sure it's everywhere, just like a STD.
I had a feeling it would be made into a YTMND by now.

Re: And SQUIRRELS!
Yes, those too!
I am so much not the Star Trek fan as I am the Star Wars fan.
It's like Elvis vs. The Beatles, Outer Limit vs. The Twilight Zone.
Lol! I am IN LOVE with this post!
I'm going to have to drag my roommate in here to see that lil video deal at the bottom.
I forgot one word that should be included in the attention-getting category . . . you, either singular or plural. People are usually big on being invited to themselves as the focus . . . start talking "Hey, what do you think?" in any conversation, most people will give an answer, even if it's "I don't know."
There was a short story or article I read as a teen, in high school, long ago, along with a cool essay called "On Dumpster Diving" . . . the one I can't remember talked completely about how people do not listen, and they're generally horrible at it. It went into detail about the effort and what to do to actually listen, and I got the gist of it, the whole body of text, as the idea that women are naturally better listeners, but I'm starting to doubt that it's drawn along lines of sex.
Seriously, Captain Kirk's 'secret' gif was from somewhere else, but it's too precious because they time the caption just right . . . good stuff, I like it too.
I hope the roomie enjoyed . . . there's more weird stuff over at ytmnd.com, also newgrounds, youtube, google video, a wealth of it, perfect pick-me-ups.
hahahaha. oh god. I dont know what part of that post was the best.
Hey, check this out -http://www.applian.com/avscs/
Basically, this entire package allows you to grab anything and everything from your video and sound card . . .
I've been monkeying with Replay Music 2, and I was able to nab a bunch of mp3s off of some Mr. T stuff from YouTube . . . excellent tool if you have a copy-protected CD, too, that won't allow infinite rips . . . circumvents everything with an untraceable rip from your cards, amazing stuff.
how is the quality though stealing the video from youtube? in most cases the quality is already compressed...
ive been trying to find the perfect tool for dumping video from dvds and video tapes to my computer. i want to start remixing footage (like all the funny internet comedyheads are doing now)
i want to make a parody of the Goonies using Lord of the rings footage and splicing them together. I have editing tools, i need capturing tools.
You gave me a tip once before and i already forgot what it was!
Yeah, I have some editing tools here, too.
I've been looking for an easy way to get scenes off dvds without the time-consuming capture image . . . that's a long process . . . pause, ctrl-i, save, pause, ctrl-i, save . . .
The Replay Music worked great on DVD for mp3 output . . . can save all the way up to 320 kbps . . . plus wav version, too . . . on YouTube, all I was doing was getting some audio from a Mr. T cartoon and an interview he did with some UK A-Team fanatic . . . fantastic snippets I got from those mp3 files, yes . . . I envision it as a perfect soundscape cultivator for myself, getting those sounds that you hear places, putting them in Audition or Sound Forge, making them into something all-new.
If you have time, can you try out their video-capturing feature?
I've used the trial version of Replay Music, so my only theory is that if Replay's that good, then the rest of the stuff's gotta be good.
Bonus for me if the video capturing allows a save to quicktime or gif format . . . I'll have to investigate, myself, too.
Replay-Screencast seems to be the one with the DVD capability . . . still looking through the bundle . . .
On 2nd glance, doesn't look like DVD capable, unless it considers the video card stream through wmv to be . . . wmv, or a recordable window . . .

also allows you to tape internet radio, any stream . . . if someone was doing a local show, you could rip that show into wav or mp3.
