Rollie Fingers . . . Handlebar Moustaches. [Jun. 29th, 2006|06:00 am]

I think Rollie Fingers is more than one of the greatest pitchers in Major League Baseball's history.

He's one of the few in the 'modern' era . . . with a handlebar moustache.

The Power of Rollie Commands You.

I've always liked the idea of having a handlebar moustache, but it's just way too much trouble for me to upkeep.

It's useful, however, to use in images as a stress reliever, especially on images of people I don't particularly like.

A livejournal friend dubbed this action the "Rollie Fingered."

Touch of the Blind.

I think you could pull off a handlebar moustache.

I think I could too, but the amount of oil and time spent to make it look right every day is something that Rollie Fingers had in discipline. I am more of a Kurt Cobain at times with head grooming, except I wash my hair like several times more often than he ever did.

You watch. Lions win their first three, and it will be "Sorry Millen" signs from the stands. It's not really just this city that gets to me . . . it's people.

PS

I sort of noticed you follow baseball.

You can discuss anything MLB with me from the end of the 1994 season backward, since I used to love that sport. 1994 was the end, for me.

I might return to giving a shit about baseball upon some factors:

1) Bud Selig is no longer connected to baseball as commissioner and/or owner

2) Mike Ilitch is no longer connected to the Detroit Tigers

3) Barry Bonds is no longer connected to baseball

It's going to be a while for all three to take place.

I used to love that sport, and those three are now the cumulative reasons against doing that.

I really need to find an animated GIF from the Seven Days to Sunday special on the Charges. Drew Breese did the absolutely silliest dance that the lead singer of Bauhaus would later try to recreate. It was also kinda ghey.

Kind of like the Pat Riley dance at the Heat parade?

Blam.
