Regardless, every time I see Sam...i only think of "ET PHONE HOME
Yeah, but at the same time, I think of this kid as "wait, people pay him a salary?"
who is this kid...why is he alowed to interview people?
He works in SoCal . . . and it's a modern rock station.
What boggles me is how this guy decided it was a good idea to post these epic fails on his YouTube.
That was painful, LOL.
Way to do all of your research via wikipedia, n00b.
Actually, I got wind of this through ESPN's NBA monkeyblog.
Then I tried to find out more info from the radio station's web page and it was a colossal batch of "Dude, rock and roll."
Then I went to type in his name and that was one of the first returns. It was craptacular, so I added it to the festival of fail.
I'm just happy that Sam pwned his ass without really jabbing at him. That was epic win.
Who posts this fail on their own YouTube account?
This kid was on MTV? Really?
Apparently he met their standards.
As a Santa Barbaran, I have to say that it is the most overrated station ever, because it masquerades as "independent", but plays generic alterna-rock music anyway.
KCSB = awesome radio station here (although I'm a little biased)
When I was out there, I never listened to much radio.
I was absolutely mesmerized by local TV news, however.
I have never before nor since been utterly susceptible to putting on the local news as I was in Los Angeles. I think it had everything to do with the Easiest Job in the World, aka the Weather Anchor in Southern California. That, and the general stories were always seemingly more cheery in nature, even if they were reporting some crime trend. It was similar low intelligence to that of any local outfits anywhere, but it was just . . . better.
Most of the local Detroit TV coverage revolves around the stuff that Michael Moore outed as ridiculous in his Bowling for Columbine deal.
I know, but they call everything journalism these days, and none of it really is, and you really are a journalist. :D
I'm listening to KCSB at the moment. I need something different in my filthy Detroit life. Thanks for the recommendation.

KCSB - Digable Planets.
They're cool like that.
Much thanks again.
I had a show there for a year, during the middle of the night, playing jazz/experimental stuff
LA's local news is more interesting because there's so much absurdity in LA - like David Cross said, Hollywood (as much as I love it) is a parade of the deluded...so when the media can capitalize on that, it's gold
The valley lends itself to an amazing level of isolationism that I have yet to find in such quantity elsewhere.
Everything that happens in LA is something huge. If it didn't happen there, it may go unnoticed.
I actually enjoyed that insanity.
Also the warnings of grave danger of carcinogens and grave danger to one's health in every parking garage.

The Hollywood Experience
was the cut-up I did from free rags while I was out there - "The Hollywood Experience."
It reminds me of the joyous time I had out there in the valley, before I returned to the shit-covered sledgehammer of this state.

Re: Where in the valley were you?
I lived for almost a year right near Koreatown. South of Paramount Studios, just south of Melrose, between Wilton and Western.
I thought you meant the San Fernando Valley - but yeah. I know that area well too. Right near the Wiltern Theatre

Re: Where in the valley were you?
The funny thing was that I was right on top of Hollywood Forever, and I never went to see the old movie stars there.
Oh my god. That was absolutely painful to watch; I made many cringes whilst watching. That kid needs to find a new profession.
I am still shaking my head in disbelief.
Granted, Sam I Am (Injured) is not the easiest human being on the eyes, if I were to interview him, I wouldn't be asking him questions designed to get him to punch me in the throat.
Fucking amateurs these days...

Archaeologists from the Future . . .
It appears the white kid offered himself as a sacrifice, and the black man declined, possibly due to the kid's crazy eyes.
Sauce told me you're interested in fantasy basketball. I am STRUGGLING to find people for my league. If you'd be interested, hit me up. You can feel free to reply to this comment, or just e-mail me (firstname.lastname@example.org). Either way, I'm desperate for people who know their stuff.
Sure. I already have one league set up and ready to draft on Monday, but I generally like to do two leagues just in the rare case that one of my teams tank.
Just give me the information and I'll join...I assume this is Yahoo?
Also, is it a roto league or head to head and what are the catagories?
It's actually at NBA.com. I wanted to do Yahoo! or ESPN, but I'm not a fan of the roto scoring style.
It's head-to-head, points. The categories are more than likely going to be Points, FG%, FT%, Rebounds, Assists, Steals, Blocks, Turnovers, and 3 pointers made. The league isn't OFFICIALLY set up, since I'm waiting until I atleast get 10 people and like I said, I'm struggling to find people... so if you know 1 or 2 people who wouldn't mind signing up, then let me know. I'm getting pretty close though. With you I've got 7-8 people lined up. The draft will more than likely be this weekend, sometime between 2-5 on either Saturday or Sunday.
