St. Patrick's Day. [Mar. 17th, 2009|10:00 am]
Sauce1977
[Current Location |Detroit, MI, USA]
[Special Music |Lindsey Buckingham - Holiday Road]

I don't always celebrate St. Patrick's day, but this year, I felt like it. Happy holidays to you and yours!

I have available an assortment of Smithwick's, Guinness Draught, and a staple with Killian's. Nothing fancy. Sam Adams ... not a fan. More often than not, it's way too sweet, and Sam Adams of any kind ... it never seems to be fresh in this region.

On beers .... there's 500 million different versions of every niche. I'm not extremely picky. When you get out of Milwaukee's Best range, you're doing better. For example, no matter what the day, there is nothing wrong with a Pabst Blue Ribbon.

And, a toast ...

Saint Patrick was a gentleman,
Who through strategy and stealth,
Drove all the snakes from Ireland,
Here’s a toasting to his health.
But not too many toastings
Lest you lose yourself and then
Forget the good Saint Patrick
And see all those snakes again.

Beannachtam na Feile Padraig!

St. Patrick.

Now, on with the drinks.

Cheers.

Meh, I'm poor. I still drink Natural Ice, malt liquor, and cheap vodka.

Only good beer I ever buy is Yuengling.

Yeah, none of the cheap stuff is bad, usually, unless it's not fresh at all.

One of these days, I gotta try Yuengling.

It's the best tasting beer I can find at a gas station.

I read the reviews ... Philly people seem to love it. It's a PA staple.

I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing... At least you know it'll get you drunk.

I'm not sure either, but one thing I know is that if it's a state-native thing, there's probably some overhype. I would highly doubt Yeungling to be total hype.

Yuengling's decent. Sorry you can't get good Sam Adams up there -- I've noticed that in Florida it's also hit or miss. And yet, the Flying Dog is always good, even though it comes further.

We got Bell's, so it's all good.
