renazle_dazzle, Thank You. [Jun. 12th, 2004|05:00 am]
Sauce1977

You reminded me of a film I watched a few years ago that was actually pretty hilarious.

http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0124819/ Orgazmo (1997) is an excellent film from the early Trey Parker and Matt Stone days.

Parker and Stone are the creators of the "South Park" TV cartoon series.

In Orgazmo, Parker plays Joe Young, a fresh-faced Mormon guy who travels to Los Angeles to spread the good word. By chance, he stumbles into the porn industry.

Not everyone is a fan of Parker and Stone, but I really enjoyed Baseketball (1998). I have yet to find a copy of this apparent gem:

http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0115819/ Alferd Packer: The Musical (1996) aka Cannibal! The Musical

Yes, I have watched the original South Park short, The Spirit of Christmas.

Hahaha, that's sweet.

I am not sure if my roomate's watched that one, so I'm going to ask him to Netflix that and Orgazmo. We have Baseketball, so we can make it a Parker/Stone marathon day.

If for whatever reason Netflix doesn't have it, I have my own copy, I figure you're local enough I can trust the post office with a bubble envelope.

I tend to like Parker and Stone more often than most other folks in comedy.

In fact, I really enjoyed "That's My Bush" when it had a brief run on Comedy Central.

"One of these days, Laura, I'm gonna punch you in the face!" . . . that was the weekly utterance from the guy who played GWB . . .

Man, I think that show was on before 9/11 . . .

Well, it was basically a parody of your standard sitcom, Honeymooners meets every other standard, right down to the happy endings after great reversals and other hijinks.

Losing movies sucks, it's almost as bad as having to replace an old VHS 'cause the tape's worn out or something.

Ha!

With sour cream, I hope.

I love sour cream.

Though, I dislike cottage cheese.

It's all dairy, but I don't like the chunks.
