I Love It!!! Rain, Two Days in a Row !!! [Oct. 17th, 2004|09:34 pm]
Sauce1977

It started a drizzle tonight, right around the same time it started last night.

This is a big thing in Los Angeles, considering the last time it rained was probably March.

It's nice rain as well . . . thunder and lightning aren't happening.

:D

We've had rain the last two days, and it's scheduled to continue for at least the next eight. And that is why I love Portland.

I always liked the rain.

However, back in Michigan, I received plenty of rain . . . either in terribly cold snow-form . . . or . . . it would be thrown upon the land with thunderclaps and insane bolts of lightning.

I prefer the drizzle-drizzle. :D

I actually miss the thunderstorms (of Illinois, in my case) a lot. Hearing it thunder outside just makes the inside all the more cozy.

Two instances as a child turned me away from the enjoyment of thunder and lightning.

1) A bolt hit and blew a transformer at my grandfather's house . . . that was a particularly insane explosion.

2) A zing of big lightning hit the tree across the street from my parents' house. The entire outside lit up with blue/white light, and the shockwave rumbled everything in the house.

I think I'm going to use the unit "zing" from now on to describe amounts of lightning.

Hahaha.

Possibly, some deal could be brokered to shift the rain on to the US campaign trail of Bush and Kerry.

Tonight's rain didn't last all night.

The weather cooled off a bit from the 80-something degree days in recent past. It's pretty comfy and not very humid . . . good sleeping weather.

Thunder and lighting are what make nice rain, if you ask me.

I think I could do well working in space.

Except for the smoking part.
