|MF Doom and DJ Danger Mouse to Collaborate.
||[Jul. 19th, 2005|03:00 pm]
I happened to watch a little bit of Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim" last night.
It is already old news, but it was news to me. The network announced the collaboration "Dangerdoom" and produced a track listing.
DJ Danger Mouse is responsible for "The Grey Album," the remix of Beatles and Jay-Z which was pulled from the public despite great accolades due to proprietary rights (most in part of the Beatles).
MF Doom is responsible for some of my most favorite hip hop in the new century. "MM..Food?" was a late entry in 2004, and I had that one on a lot during the winter as I prepared to move home to Detroit.
The new album, "Danger Doom," will feature samples from the shows of "Adult Swim" as part of the tracks. That's not a surprise, since Cartoon Network advertised it. It will release in October of 2005.
MF Doom, aka Daniel Dumile, has an interesting biography. His date of birth is somewhat of a mystery, but I would feel safe to wager that he was born either in a year of the rooster or dragon. Both years are considered to be the most eccentric zodiac signs.
If anyone has DJ Danger Mouse's "Grey Album," let me know. I lost it.
