Dear Ben Wallace,

Detroiters have short memories. When the Lions make a run of wins and move to the top of their division, few will recall 2005 and the rampant demands by the fans for the firing of Matt Millen. Right now, Detroiters are prepared to forgive Mike Ilitch's family for all their Tiger sins in the face of a competitive team on top of the MLB. In fact, your announcement, so poorly timed, swept Steve Yzerman's announcement to retire out of the highlights. In essence, your thoughtlessness over the last 3 months will be matched by a lifetime of Detroiters and their forgetfulness of you.

However, I have a memory.

No more Body.

Your motives resemble that of another guy that I loathe.

Grant who?

I hope it was worth it, Ben Wallace.

Now you know how I felt when God told Reggie to go to Green Bay. The only difference is Ben at least delivered you a title. I'm still waiting.

Still doesn't make it any better though.

I feel that 60 million dollars, all guaranteed, is an obscene amount of money to offer a player like Ben Wallace.

My most guarded fear was that Joe Dumars was prepared to give Ben any dollar amount to stay . . . and Ben got that kind of money from Detroit . . . via a bidding war.

This literally locks up Chicago's cap for the next four years.

Chicago literally overpaid for this unique talent . . . but he's damaged goods.

Read the article from the link, and tell me if that doesn't feel a lot like Grant Hill.
