Dear Ben Wallace,

Detroiters have short memories. When the Lions make a run of wins and move to the top of their division, few will recall 2005 and the rampant demands by the fans for the firing of Matt Millen. Right now, Detroiters are prepared to forgive Mike Ilitch's family for all their Tiger sins in the face of a competitive team on top of the MLB. In fact, your announcement, so poorly timed, swept Steve Yzerman's announcement to retire out of the highlights. In essence, your thoughtlessness over the last 3 months will be matched by a lifetime of Detroiters and their forgetfulness of you.

However, I have a memory.

No more Body.

Your motives resemble that of another guy that I loathe.

Grant who?

I hope it was worth it, Ben Wallace.

It's ok...when he starts missing free-throws in the play-offs against the Heat, Pistons fans will be able to sit back and smile smugly.

In the meantime, there is no more Cheif Big Hair...so I vote we get Nazr Mohammed and move on.

I'm not sure if Nazr's right . . . he's gettin' old, too.

And . . .

as soon as I write that, Joe D spends 30 million on him.

Fucking hell.

You know, if this team finishes under .500, I'm severing ties with Detroit.

Faith . . . Tried.

I feel as if I am surrounded by a lack of comfort.

Next thing I know, William Davidson will have died.

Re: Faith . . . Tried.

Well...um...he's only 29...
And he has a bit more offense than Ben...
Um...he's tall...

Come on....the fact that he costs alot less can't be the only silver lining here?

Ya know what would be very nice right about now? Kevin Garnett.
Allen Iverson.
Jermaine O'Neal.

One of those 3 would make it all feel better.

Re: Faith . . . Tried.

Not Jermaine.

That's like getting Tito Jackson when you wanted the Michael Jackson . . . Shaq in his prime.

Nein on Allen Iverson. I love the guy, but we're talking about the Pistons, a team that practices. Warrior, he is. Detroit can't get any older, and they can't support 10-20 games he misses from hitting every forward branch on his reckless drives.

KG would be great, but he appears to be an idiot in love for a franchise which doesn't deserve to keep him.

Unfortunately, Ben was our bargaining chip for KG. He'd have never signed off on it, Ben, but Detroit would have to dig into the Rasheed or Tayshaun reserve to attempt to get him. KG would probably end up making Detroit . . . Minnesota 2.

I'm at a loss, here.
