Congratulations to the Detroit Tigers.

You played better baseball than anyone could have predicted. Only the insane would have had you pegged for the 2006 World Series.

This was a great story from start to finish. Everything past .500 ball in the regular season was the bonus round.

You have a talented young pitching staff. Your club has many young players, and most of them can only get better. The future is bright.

Your organization provided a lifetime of entertainment for my grandfather. He enjoyed you guys right up until his end.

I carried him through the final innings. I cannot thank you enough for making it pretty exciting to watch.

You're good guys. I wish you the best.

2006 Champions of Detroit.

I can't wait for April. What a fantastic season. The sad part is, most people will hop off the bandwagon and forget about them until they start winning again. Being at the ballpark those four times this season was a whole new experience for me. It sucks that it had to end this way, but St. Louis is a talented club and Detroit made too many errors. However, this cannot look them winning the American League and all of the other things they accomplished (Leyland for AL Manager of the Year, Verlander for AL ROY, the major-league low ERA in the regular season, numerous players with 20+ home runs...)

Thank you, Tigers. This postseason was the most special to me, more special than any Red Wings or Pistons run. I can't even explain it, but it was so thrilling to watch.

Hate the Game.

I'll tune into a Tigers game from time to time until I'm dead, I suppose. These kids are good, and that makes it easier to watch.

This sport was much better when I was a kid.

I was in it only for my grandfather.

This is where I'm off MLB. I wish Bud Selig the worst.
