[Special Music |L.A. Style - James Brown Is Dead]

I almost missed this.

Rest in peace, James Brown. He was a fantastic American entertainer, and I'll never forget his appearance in Rocky IV with "Living in America."

He was also the subject of a song by L.A. Style, in which the title, "James Brown Is Dead," came 13 years too early.

Rest in peace, James. Forgive L.A. Style for playing Nostradamus in a retarded way. Of course he'd die on Christmas. He's James Brown. Forgive him, Jesus!

James Brown. L.T.O.

James Brown, baby, the Hardest Working Man in Showbiz!

it's raining all day here and the first thing i hear this morning is that
James Brown is dead.

i was hoping that it was the sports caster. not that i have anything against him, but i seriously thought that James Brown was immortal.

as in could not die.

And then, Gerald Ford died the next day!

We're all gonna die.

I don't think people will forget James Brown.

It is indeed sad that I get most of my relevant breaking news from YTMND... that's where I first heard...

When I hear the weird, I type in keywords in Google News, the best e-paper one could possibly have, along with Drudge.

My girlfriend bought us tickets to go see him on January 4th here in Ottawa. I was excited as all hell to see James Brown one last time before he died.

I found out about this while I was at my parents' house. It was a bum out trip, let me tell you what. James Brown was prevelant in every decade from his gospel roots in the 50s to his resurgence in the 90s that was caused by every fucking body sampling his records and ripping him off.

This generation might be the first to grow up without James Brown. It's a fucking sad thought.

Gettin' on the Eternal Foot

This generation won't be any luckier than the previous generations without James Brown. Although, they can be luckier if it's required listening in schools.

In GTA: San Andreas, James Brown played in the casinos.
