Pistons Playoffs About to Begin.

Yesterday, Detroit locked up the first seed in the Eastern conference with a close shave win against Orlando.

Orlando's fixing to be Detroit's first round opponent. I have to give Orlando minor credit . . . Detroit played perfect basketball in the first quarter, and Orlando did not sit down. So is the case with all the teams against Detroit these days.

There was one moment, in particular, where Rasheed Wallace slapped an oncoming Orlando ball-carrier, and the ball went sailing out of bounds. Rasheed at that point had 2 early fouls. The refs called it out of bounds on Detroit, but they failed to call what was clearly a third early foul on Rasheed. I'll let Orlando fans stew on that one.

However, I ask Rasheed Wallace . . . will you be our Bill Laimbeer?

Detroit could use some combat basketball during this post-season.

This year, Chicago could make it pretty similar to the old days.

"It was the game that I was looking forward to playing." - Joe Dumars, on playing the Bulls and Mike Jordan.

Pistons won 50 games for the sixth consecutive season. I believe San Antonio and Dallas are also in that category.

These three cities have been livin' pretty for basketball, that's for sure.

Detroit and San Antonio, one day, could possibly plummet in quality, and the process of a new era will begin. That's not today, so whatevs.

I would rather you didn't like the Pistons. I would rather you hated the Pistons. Nothing makes a Pistons punch to the world's mouth better than that.

If your NBA team was awesome, they'd do intros like this and fail to be laughed off the court.

I'll leave Detroit Pistons fans with this . . .
