Jeff Mills, early into the final hours of Movement 2003, witnessed his set come to a silent stop when the system couldn't handle his jams.
While techs went out to futz, Derrick May came to the rescue, distracting the crowd with clever commentary and other parlor games.
Mills is relaxed. Mills doesn't let this setback become life-shattering. At a previous Memorial Day Techno blowout, the skies opened, causing the festival to end earlier than anticipated.
I guess what I'm trying to say, is . . .
If you find yourself on stage, and something goes funky chicken, don't sweat it. If you're cool with it, everyone else will tend to follow your lead.
That's all the wise wisdom I have to crack with this picture I shot. By the way, I'm not too good on following my own advice, but I try to live up to it.
