Early Christmas Gift. Adult. @ The Magic Stick. [Dec. 6th, 2003|03:14 am]
[In the Moment |jubilantjubilant]
[Special Music |Adult. - Nausea [Restructured]]

Tonight, I went with Heidi to see Adult. in concert.

They had Electronicat and Tamion 12 Inch there, and the Adult. finished.

We arrived at 9PM, to find the place almost completely empty.

Miller and Kuperus were chillin' with the other people near the bar. We made our way to bar stools and chit-chatted.

Slowly, the people filed in the upstairs hall. Finally, it was showtime probably toward 10PM.

Electronicat and Tamion 12 Inch were great. The 1st act was moderate sound, followed by the 2nd act, which was louder and bassrific. The bass jazzed us up for Adult., who gave the loud and wonderful finale.

Wonderful beats and music made the evening a joyous event.

My head's about to explode, but it's worth it. Being sick wasn't an issue with Adult. and the crowd there. I lost myself in pure enjoyment of the electronic glory.

Note to myself: So I don't forget, they did really good versions of Blank Eyed, Nose Bleed, Dispassionate Furniture, Nausea, Glue Your Eyelids Together, and shit I can't remember the rest of them, but they were soooo freaking lively and musically tight!

They had some new songs, but I guess they were still working out the kinks on those ones, even though those were awesome too . . . the Anxiety Always and Resuscitation-based tracks they did were cleaner and tighter . . . yet, all the songs basically blew me away being live and loud.

My memory is weird . . . they played Pressure Suit.

"Do you like my handbag . . .
It's filled with lots of money.

I want to spend my money on en-ter-tainment.

Can you entertain me?"

It's a hit with the ladies.

That's great. That's always great. I'm not too familiar with Adult., but no therapy is like a good rock-concert... I think I'll look it up.
