He Has Risen. [Apr. 11th, 2004|09:45 am]
[In the Moment |touchedtouched]

Well, I woke up at 5:45 AM.

The sleepies are thoroughly out of the way, after that 7:15 AM 7-11 hazelnut coffee.

Happy Easter/Passover Weekend/Commercial Holiday Weekend/Reject It All Weekend/Whatever Weekend!

I'm eating some Easter Pizza. Yuuuuum!

We're going to go see "Dawn of the Dead" later on.

I Find Remakes . . . Sequels . . .

Hollywood is a "what can we make from this" first-thought bunch.

After an original makes a ton of money, the executives generally will greenlight quite easily, it seems.

You can save that for after the film . . . it has spoilers.

Merely . . . keep an eye out for all of the goofy mistakes made in it, if you go see it.

There are some rather easily-identified goofs.

What I liked about the original Dawn was the slow-paced style to it . . . the frolic in the mall, the strange assault of the bikers . . . those things were neat, and this has a rather different story to tell . . . but not really.

Both versions, after all, take place mostly in a mall.

I will say that the effort put into the zombie-getups and the tension of the film were honed to sharp knives. They cut well.

The rest was butter-sharpness.

I had been sleeping early . . .

I fell asleep around 5 last evening, and I woke up at 2 or 3 AM this morning. After talkin' with you, I rested for a lil' bit. I'm a lil' sleepy again . . .
