|I'm Listening to Positive Mainstream Music Today.

Part of me, in order to succeed in Hollywood, must accept the mainstream with the obscure.
I like Gilliam films, but damn if the big blockbusters like Predator happen to catch my fancy.
Don't get me wrong . . . I like quality, be it mainstream, or obscure. I love obscure, but mainstream can also be great.
Right now, I have tracks in my WMP that pretty much spell "Jock Jams."
This goes well with the NCAA Football 2005 in the other room . . . positive music, positive mind, and all that jazz.
How the Ramones' "Blitzkrieg Bop" ended up on one of the ESPN 'sporty-music' collections, I will never know.
Ay! Oh! Let's Go!
Oh, now I remember.
The best news of the day happens to be with my knee.
Today is the first day that I'm not hobbling. I can put some pressure and bend the knee with ease. This doesn't mean I can go back to lifting over 50 lbs. and bending all day for 12-14 hours, but it's a step in the right direction.
My buddy Jason called me twice these last two days. That was a great surprise. He's doing well in Michigan, and maybe at some point, I can work out some way to get him out here.
Part of my personal struggle is with . . . who I am. I don't really know, and I've never had a firm grasp on that. I'm working with that idea, and it works well.
I'm 27 years old, and I'm happy.
Ooooh, Bob Marley . . . "Get Up, Stand Up." I think I'll do that more often today.
