|Monster Truck Political Broadcast THURSDAY - THURsday - thursday . . .
||[Sep. 27th, 2004|03:28 am]
I try to collect information on politics. Unfortunately, much of the presented material, to date, hasn't really amounted to much from either major candidate.
However, since the days of Kennedy vs. Nixon, they're airing this jargon-fisticuff-hoedown on television. It happens again on Thursday.
Some may disagree, but I think that what goes down in the debates is actually very important to whose ass rests in the chair in the Oval Office that next January.
Some may disagree, but half the eligible voters didn't bother in the last election. If the excuse wasn't jail/emergency/underage, then you know who you are.
These broadcasts are like title fights in boxing. Some interesting fights come to mind. You could cry out comparisons to many fights . . .
However, I wouldn't agree with an Ali vs. Liston, and I wouldn't agree with a Tyson vs. Douglas.
At this point, it one feels more like Tyson vs. Himself.
